What cookies and device storage are
Cookies are small files a website places on your device. Websites can also use similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, to remember information. Irish and EU law (the ePrivacy Regulations and GDPR) treats these technologies the same way: anything that is not strictly necessary needs your consent first.

If you reject preferences, none of the preference items above are stored. The site still works fully; you may just see the homepage intro again.
Analytics and advertising
We do not currently use any analytics, advertising, social media pixels or tracking cookies. The consent tool includes an “Analytics” option so that, if we add a statistics tool in future, it can only ever run after you opt in. We will update this page before that happens.
Third-party services
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts and code libraries from jsDelivr and cdnjs. These services do not set cookies through our site, but, as with any file download, they receive your IP address and browser information so they can deliver the files. See our Privacy Policy for more.
Links to other websites, such as the Data Protection Commission, are governed by those websites’ own cookie policies.
Your choices
- Use at any time, or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.
- “Reject all” is always as easy as “Accept all”, and no option is switched on before you choose.
- You can also delete stored data through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or clear cookies and site data for individual websites.
